Our Core Entry Requirements

At Alika Medical Training College, we welcome passionate learners who are committed to building a career in healthcare. To ensure student success and uphold professional standards, all applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Academic Qualification: Applicants must hold a minimum of a KCSE certificate. A pass in English, Kiswahili, and Biology is essential. (Equivalent qualifications recognized by the TVET Authority will also be considered).
  • Age Requirement: You must be 18 years of age or older at the time of enrollment to begin your studies with us.
  • Identification: A copy of a valid National ID, Passport, or Birth Certificate is required for verification.
  • Health Status: To ensure suitability for clinical practice, a medical fitness certificate from a recognized health facility must be provided.
Additional Program-Specific Requirements

Some of our specialized programs may have additional entry criteria based on the complexity of the course:

  • For advanced programs like Basic Physiotherapy or Infection Prevention & Control, applicants may be required to have some prior experience or foundational training in a related healthcare field.
  • For our Certificate in Caregiving, no prior healthcare experience is required! Your passion for patient care and a willingness to learn are the most important qualifications.
Your Application Checklist

To ensure a smooth and successful application process, please prepare the following documents:

  • A completely filled Online or Manual Application Form.
  • Clear copies of your Academic Certificates and Transcripts.
  • A clear copy of your National ID or Passport.
  • Two recent, clear passport-size photographs.
  • Your Application Fee Payment Receipt.

Please Note: Meeting the minimum entry requirements does not automatically guarantee admission. Selection is competitive and based on academic merit and the number of available slots for each intake.
